Terms of Use
These terms describe the responsibilities that come with using beta software connected to a server you or someone you trust operates.
Please read this beta boundary first
Trellilume is pre-release software. Keep independent backups of important photos and videos, use disposable data on demonstration servers, and do not rely on the beta as the only copy of anything important.
1. Acceptance and eligibility
By installing or using Trellilume, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. You must be at least 13 and legally able to accept these terms, or use Trellilume with permission and supervision from a parent or guardian who accepts them for you.
2. What Trellilume provides
Trellilume provides client software and self-hosting software for organizing and managing photos, videos, accounts, albums, metadata, and related features. The mobile app connects to a trusted HTTPS server selected by the user. Unless clearly stated otherwise, the publisher does not host your permanent library.
3. Beta software
Features may be incomplete, change, move, or be removed. The beta may contain errors and may be interrupted for maintenance, security work, migration, or testing. Feedback is welcome, but submitting feedback does not transfer ownership of your media or require us to implement a suggestion.
4. Self-hosting responsibilities
If you operate a Trellilume server, you are responsible for:
- the hardware, network, domain, HTTPS configuration, storage, and availability;
- security updates, administrator access, passwords, backups, restores, and monitoring;
- the people you invite and the privacy notices or consent your deployment requires;
- the lawfulness of media, metadata, optional integrations, and processing on that server; and
- responding to account, access, export, and deletion requests for your server.
The publisher cannot recover an independently operated server, reverse its administrator decisions, or access its private library on your behalf.
5. Accounts and security
Provide accurate account information, protect your credentials and recovery methods, and promptly report suspected compromise. Do not share another person's account, bypass permissions, or use administrator access without authorization. A server operator may suspend or remove an account to protect the service or comply with law.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of content you own. You grant the selected server and its operator only the permissions needed to store, process, display, organize, transform, back up, share, export, and delete content according to your actions and that server's configuration. You must have the rights and permissions needed for content you upload or share.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use Trellilume to:
- break the law, violate another person's rights, or distribute unlawful content;
- attack, probe, overload, or bypass the security of an app, server, or network;
- spread malware, steal credentials, impersonate others, or misrepresent authority; or
- use automation or Assistant actions without reviewing their scope and consequences.
8. Optional automation and integrations
Assistant, MCP, sharing, email, AI-provider, and other integrations depend on server configuration. Automated suggestions can be wrong. Review proposed actions, permissions, affected items, and confirmation screens before execution. Third-party services have their own terms and privacy practices.
9. App stores, beta access, and future paid features
Apple or Google may control downloads, testing access, payments, refunds, and subscriptions under their rules. Beta access may expire or end. Beta testers are not promised permanent free access to a future production release. If paid features are introduced, their price, duration, renewal, and included value will be shown before purchase. Access needed to export or delete your data will not be conditioned on buying a new subscription from the publisher.
10. Updates and termination
We may update or discontinue the beta. You may stop using the app at any time and may request account deletion from the selected server. We may restrict access to publisher-operated beta services for security, abuse, legal, capacity, or program-management reasons.
11. Disclaimers and responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the beta is provided as available and without a promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable as your sole backup. You are responsible for independent backups and for the servers and third-party services you choose. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be waived.
12. Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the product evolves. The effective date above identifies the current version. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms where permitted by law.
